2015

Hello 2015! Didn't realize i've been dragging my "next post" for 1 freaking year. Not sure if i'll only blog once a year, hahaha! Anyway, say hello to my not so impressing new layout. I like every thing simple and minimal so that explains the layout which only took me 20mins to do and Rachelle helped to code within an hour or lesser.  Due to the change of layout, my picture has been enlarge in all of my blog post so you may experience super pixelated image in my previous post but i can't be bother to change. If you click in, the image will be working in normal resolution. Unless...*Hello Rachelle, if you are reading this, help me decrease my image size by a bit. It's super huge now. Hahaha! I'm thinking how i should start off this post... hmmm..

The first paragraph was drafted on Sunday and i stopped. Hahaha It's really hard to type out my thoughts these days. Yesterday was Qingming Festival. A day we pay respect to our grandparents and ancestors with offerings. It's been 2 years and 1 year since the pass on of both of my grandparents. I hope they are doing good on the other rainbow realm. We cried, we miss them but as days passes by, we understand that death is just a part of our life journey. Everyone have to go through them and unfortunately some have to leave earlier than others. Last month, Andy &  I received the most devastated news on a Saturday morning that his brother Winston of 21 years has passed on. I'm sure it hits Andy more than me. At that point of time, my mind and heart was in complete darkness. I don't know how i should comfort him. I don't know why i can feel a sense of sadness that he was having. Maybe our souls are connected and errrr.. that's why we are together? Hahaha. I've gone through the experience of losing someone close to me. I know how it feels and the natural human compassion was fully revealed at that point of time. We had dinner a few times together, we met up for drinking, i've always hear Andy answering his calls and both of them would catch up with each other effortlessly over the phone or over casual meet ups. He's really a nice person. I don't know why god takes away the good people in our life and that bad things always happen to good people. I guess they have their own reasons for leaving. I believe he's in a better place resting in peace now. :)

On 23th of April, we lost our beloved Founding Father of Singapore. It was a week of darkness for all Singaporeans. To be continue....

Krabi Day 1 - 25.04.2014
Monday, May 19, 2014 / 1 comments
It's 3.00am now. Shall do a blog post since i can't sleep. So me & Andy planned a trip to Krabi in April. I really really want to visit an island since years ago. My old wish list was redang island (Like when i was in sec school and i don't know a lot of other beautiful islands) BUT NOW I KNOW. Before i go, i asked around and googled a lot about Krabi. The people in Krabi are very friendly and welcoming so i am not worry on getting lost there :p. It's very easy to make friends there! My main visit was to explore their offshore islands! Many thanks to FANGS who provided me with lots of detailed information and reassure me that - I DO NOT HAVE TO PLAN MY ITINERARY. Well, but you should know which island you want to go. You will be spoilt for choices when you arrive there. This is what i LOVE about Krabi (I hate planning, i'll get very stress over itinerary).

There are about 8 districts in Krabi Province. So Krabi is NOT JUST KRABI. You have to decide which area you want to stay in. If you are unsure, you can visit this website to find out more: http://www.yourkrabi.com/where-to-stay-krabi/ - Anyway, i chose to stay in Ao Nang and have not regret a single bit. It's more like a beach town and it's easier to get around in Ao Nang. I don't wish to travel by bus or tutu to get to the beach so Ao Nang was perfect for us. Ao nang beach was just a 5 mins walk from my resort. Super awesome! If you prefer places that has more cafes, bars or even night markets, you should stay in Krabi Town though it's more crowded. Food and drinks are much more cheaper there! I personally think that Krabi Town is quite boring :/ Shall blog about it on another post.

Really have to do something about this content width. My pictures look so small :C!

We took Tiger air - Direct Flight to Krabi ($295 for 2)

Arrived in Krabi at 12.30pm. There will be a bus service counter over at the airport.
You just have to tell them your hotel name and they will send you to your hotel.
Bus ticket was about $6-8 dollar. Can't remember. Please do not take taxi there.
It's very expensive. It's not as cheap as Bangkok. Even more ex then sg.

Our super good stay recommended by Fangs!

The weather was really sunny. Andy had a hard time opening his eyes.
Like his eyes is not small enough. HAHAHA I was quite worried about the weather
because the online weather forecast shows that it will either rain or thunderstorm
throughout my stay in Krabi but I AM REALLY LUCKY. Weather was sunny
everyday! I was told by the people that the rain only comes at about
11pm - 12am at night so don't worry and have fun and i did :D

This is our resort lobby view. Super breathtaking.

Cliff view from the resort

The street in Ao nang - We went out to explore the street while waiting for our
check-in time and decided to rent a bike for our stay in Ao nang. At first, Andy wasn't
really supportive of that idea as he don't ride a bike in SG but have tried once or twice
many years back but i'm like "YOLO" everyday. Hahahaha I think life is quite boring
if you are afraid to try out new things. We all will die as we age. It's just a matter of time.

You will see a lot of bike rental everyday. You do not need a license to rent a bike.
Just need to pass them your passport as a deposit. The rental fee is $8SGD for 24hrs.
Super WTF. Dammm cheap! Anyway i'm so happy Andy decided to rent a bike to
explore Krabi with me! I swear everyone have to try it once in their lifetime.
Just to be safe, get the Honda bike that is fully auto. Super easy to ride!

Act yi ge. I tried but i couldn't take the weight of the bike. Not to think about
another person sitting behind me. HAHAHAHA

So Andy took over and we ride to different places to explore :)

In Ao Nang, you will find a whole row of tour agency that will bring you
to different offshore islands and places for activities. You have to engage them
if not you won't be able to go there by yourself. All of them have almost the same
package so you just have to walk around and see which tour package suits you.
I was quite confused at first but settled down with one of the agency which
happen to be the same as fangs cause she send me a picture of the shop and
i recognized it. Hahahaha Can't remember the name  but the lady was very
friendly and specially kind in giving us discounts :p We bought 3 days tour
so we don't have to worry about our itinerary anymore. This is the reason
why you don't really have to plan your itinerary. Just know which island
and activities you wanna go for.

Rare selfie of us which i hardly post.

Ao Nang Beach

We were too hungry so we went to this restaurant (Can't remember the name
and i can't be bothered to remember). The thai food sucks. It's not the authentic
thai cuisine. There will be a lot of "Italian" restaurant along the street and
they claim to have authentic italian and thai cuisine. NOT ALL OF THEM
ARE AUTHENTIC. Lucky i learnt my lesson after the first meal in Krabi.

Fried Shrimp

Tasteless green curry

The only thing i enjoyed is this
huge ice blended watermelon juice!

CHECK-IN TIME

SUPER COMFY BED. We took the deluxe room which is bigger and
it only cost about 98SGD per night. I think it's quite reasonable
as the location is really good plus Starbucks and Macdonald is
right beside the resort!!!!!!!

Extra sofa bed. The bed is already big enough.
Can sleep up to 2-4 people max (Horizontally, LOL)

Everything is free here except the alcohol behind.

Super huge private balcony with cliff view

In the wardrobe, you will see some essential items for the beach
and you can bring them out! So thoughtful :)

Part of the balcony. Initially wanted a balcony with bathtub (superior room)
but we decided not to have since we will be out of our room most of the time.

Make-up table

After check-in. We pack our stuff, wash up and went to The Hill Top restaurant for sunset dinning. It is quite dangerous for us to go uphill since Andy is still new to the bike but we did it anyway :D Shall blog about my experience there soon. I should stop typing. It's already 5.30am!! This is why i always take so long to do a post. Alright. Goodnight for now! :)

Omggggggg. My last post was in February. Too much events to catch up but I'm not gonna blog them all cause if i do, it will be a 1000000 words essay. Hmmm, maybe even more. I'm not sure if anyone is still reading my blog cause i don't publicize my blog but if you do, please comment so I'll be motivated to blog often! I might need to change my blog layout soon. I can't seems to post a larger image and the layout looks different when it's view in Firefox :C.

CHOKE FULL OF BEANS - DATE WITH VAL

Yesterday i went 'Choke Full of Beans' (Located at 4 Changi Village Rd) with Val. I have always wanted to try some cafes in the east but it's really too far for me. I was very determine to take a long train ride down to Bedok and another 40 mins bus ride to Changi Village but errr.. we failed badly.  I knew Val will suggest this: "Should we share cab?". So we took a cab down from Bedok. Stupidly thought Bedok is very near to Changi Village but it's really not. Hahahaha But still, we enjoyed ourselves. The food is average, not that bad. Their latte is really good & they are known for serving cute latte art in their hot beverages. I will definitely visit the cafe for their breakfast/brunch again. Val had her carbonara with poached egg but the poached egg really disappoint us. We were so eager to take a video of the poached egg with perfect runny yolk but sadly no. The pathetic poached egg video turns out to be our joke of the day. The conversation behind the video is GOD DAM FUNNY! We laughed like no tomorrow? Like a good 30mins of laughter non-stop. Really. I had a hard time sleeping last night. & I always had a lot of fun hanging out with you B ♥! Hopefully we are able to do something out of Randomus. Even selling our peasant tote bags also happy :D

Thoughts
Tuesday, February 11, 2014 / 0 comments
Overwhelming negative thoughts have been causing me to sleep late and stressing over unnecessary thoughts. Sometimes, i don't even know what's on my mind but i just feel there's a sense of emptiness that makes me emotional all the time. The next day when i wake up, everything goes back to normal. I go work, get back home, do a little exercise if i have time, rest awhile, catch up w friends, and again, back to my thoughts. But life goes on. Goodnight.

Hello 2014

Hello 2014!
Let me try to type a detailed post.

My first post for 2014. Can't remember why my blog name on my dashboard is "Let's pop down pills together". Hahahaha! Wtf? Am i really that emotional few years back? Glad that I'm a happier person now! 2013 had been an awesome year for me. I graduated from LASALLE, got my Bachelor Degree cert in Design Communication. Went on holidays to Bangkok, Korea and Taiwan? Meet up with friends even after we graduate, that's a promise! Not forgetting, falling sick most of the time in 2013. I also found an intern job which many designers would want to be in & i still have a hard time blending into this stressful environment. Maybe i don't have what it takes to be in this company yet? Many of them have encourage me along the way when i'm all stressed up and have always look down on myself most of the time. After a talk with my friend and my boss himself, i felt a lot of better. I know it doesn't take a week to get use to this environment but YEARS. There are also fresh graduate who were born with good design skills and eye for great design. I am definitely not under that category but i study and work hard enough to do what i like.

Oh! I also bought a bicycle in 2013. Almost forget about this! Yayyyyyy! No more pink or blue ugly bicycles that i used to have when i'm young. I have a hard time choosing what i want because i know nothing about the bicycle parts. So lucky my Brother is into fixed gear & coincidentally, my really old secondary school friend have an online fixed gear store which is widely known in Singapore.(www.cycleprojectstore.com) I then realized i have a lot of friends who ride. Hahaha! They have answered most of my questions. So i travelled to many places in Singapore to find my parts. I am quite problematic in looking for what i want. I wanna thank Andy for driving me around. At one point, we felt really tired driving around & getting nothing at the end of the day. I already felt tired just by sitting in the front passenger seat & get drive around, let alone the driver Andy :/. After 2 months of purchasing my parts, my bicycle is finally build up! Very happy with the colors combination though the handle bar should be in white :C Still considering whether to change it. Pictures later! My friends asked "What about my skate?" I don't think i'll ever neglect them.  Freestyle skating was a sport that bring me lots of good memories. I have gained a lot of experiences and it also allow me to discover what i can actually do. Though i am nowhere near being a good slalomer with high end tricks but i am happy that I've got the chance to experience a few competitions in my life. I cannot even be compared to the international skaters. They are sooooooo good. I am still at the "beginner level" Hahaha! I don't go for training anymore but i still skate casually. Just changed a new set of bearings last week! :)

Last week - 28/12/13, i went kayaking with the LASALLE Gang. It's my first time so i share the same boat with Fangs. It was soooooooooooo fun & carefree to be in the middle of the reservoir but of course, it won't be the same feeling if you think about how many people have committed suicide at the reservoir. :/ Can't wait for another kayaking session with them & i am considering taking the 1 Star Kayaking course. Heeee! I am trying to type as much as i could remember. There are too many events to talk about because it's the month of DECEMBER. The most fattening month of the year all the way till Chinese New Year.

So i spend my new year eve at home with a group of friends. It was really impromptu. I can't think of what to do and i don't want to join the crowd outside. My initial idea was to order SPIZZA. I heard about their pizza reviews and it seems good but their hotline was busy and they can't take in any more orders. Ok then Dominos was busy too. Shitttt! I ended up with Canadian pizza which also took 2hrs30mins to arrive. Karylan bought 50 4 fingers crispy chicken wings over, it was sooooooo yummy! I went out to buy some beer and ciders in the afternoon to stock up my fridge. I thought there will only me the four of us (Angela, Andy, Karylan & Myself). End up my house was filled 10 people. What an impromtu party :) We just spend our time eating, watching tv & playing mahjong. I think my house is quite boring ahh? I need to buy some PS3 dancing game next time, hahaha!

I am really happy to see Val that day. She's so busy! We hardly meet up now & she miss out some of the outings because of her busy schedule :C Then the photo spamming part BEGINS. Just SPAM only. We can NEVER STOP. I think it's just us! Ok then now having a hard time to choose the nicest one. zZzz #geykiang Alright. I shall blog about my first day of 2014 in my next post. Awkward ending here ...

Happy 2014 Everyone! May your 2014 be filled with lots of joy, happiness & good health!

If we ever go overseas together, i think we need 10 memory cards.

Just be yourself
Thursday, September 12, 2013 / 0 comments
I used to care too much, put everyone before me, think of others first. Well i still do but i trying not to or perhaps, i am starting to balance it out now. After so many years i realized it's pointless because everyone have different expectations and views. He or She might not know your intention even though you were trying hard to make everything right. In this judgmental society, we start to live with the results of other people's thinking. Life is too short to waste your time living in someone else's life. So i constantly remind myself to "BE MYSELF" and that way, i will be truly happy without having the thoughts of disappointing others. I won't say it's easy but i moving towards there. Not that i shouldn't care about other people's feeling or opinion, but i should make sure whatever advices i take in or give out is truly from my heart.

Ok. Haven't really say HELLO! Again, I'm not sure if anyone is reading this space but that doesn't matter. It's for me to pen down my thoughts. At least, i can still open up this blog to reminisce with my friends and love ones in the future. I have so much feelings for this blog. It has been with me since 2007! I don't really know what to describe my unemployed life. I am not looking forward to working life because doing freelance is already killing me now. & i am confused with what to do next. I shouldn't even be typing this post! Gonna finish up my freelance work now.
Goodnight/Good Morning! *Awkward ending*
